My name is Tim Wernli (I joined the company in 2008), and I work in a multifunctional role, with cylindrical grinding being my main responsibility. As part of this, I procure and manage the grinding tools, monitor the grinding water, carry out 3D measurements, maintain the relevant documentation, and also work as a forklift driver on the side.
So I’m a bit of an “all-rounder,” if you can still say that nowadays.
What we do at Rotodur is something you cannot really learn anywhere else, because carbide behaves very differently from steel or other metals.
My supervisors give me the freedom to plan my own assignments and carry them out at my own pace. That is anything but something to be taken for granted.
The same applies to the strong team spirit and the friendly, supportive atmosphere within the company. Many of us have been with Rotodur for 20 years or more, which really says it all.
